Best practices for including images in dynamic pages?

Hi there!

I’m relatively new to using the dynamic pages feature, and I’m trying to use it auto-generate pages for projects in my portfolio. Right now I have images with a wide range of dimensions showcasing vertical mockups on phone screens for one project and horizontal restaurant menus for another, among other things. So far nothing is displaying properly right out of the gate, and given the varying dimensions I’m not sure how to approach a catch-all solution to setting up my website dynamically.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to handle this?

The best practice for me is to establish standards and formats that are typical for elements, especially if you want to avoid cropping. I send all my images into PS and size them all the same either dropping them into a background to match the background of the site, or in your case the background that compliments and or extends the menu. This will help avoid unwanted cropping.

Very good point. Since this is just the default page design I’ll tweak it a bit and then tailor my images to fill the space for them in the layout. Appreciate the suggestion

The answer of @teejay is right answer. And that’s the way to do it.

But it would be great if you could show the right dimension. We are building a site with a couple of hundred paintings. And will be a lot of work to drop all these images in a background. I should not be difficult for EditorX to build this option. In some other no code builders you can show the right dimensions. But these builders do have other flaws. :grinning: So I’ll look forward to this option.
