@let-s-start-design @roberthamilton @noahlovell , I’ll forward this to the team and try to get a response.
Hello @let-s-start-design @noahlovell @roberthamilton !
I am Ido, the Product Manager behind the above mentioned feature. Thank you for reaching out to us about the issues you had with the new feature.
After the initial manual phase of this feature, we have rolled out an automatic solution which reduced any hassle from your side. Unfortunately, as we closely monitored the release we uncovered a bug related to all files which forced us to turn the release off and revert back to a manual solution.
The great news are that our amazing engineering team have already resolved the bug and are currently testing the fix. Should we see the bug was fully resolved we will release the automatic phase once more on Sunday.
Please do not hesitate to comment here with more concerns or issues about it!
I will make sure to update here personally once the feature is reopened.
Hello everyone!
Posting here to let you all know we havent forgotten about you and this feature!
We discovered some additional issues on our side, which we are working on fixing to ensure that you have the best experience from this feature.
I will make sure to notify you as soon as we re-open the feature back to everyone!
I see that this feature seems to be working again. Would you be able to confirm this for us?
@noahlovell this is correct!
The feature is back up and should be working properly now. If you see any additional issues with it, do feel free to ping me about it here.
Hello @idose . Thank you for fixing.
Question for you. What are the plans for the future? Ideally I’d love to see images on site domain.
@roberthamilton while we cannot comment yet on the timelines, we are going to look next at both other file types and images. We make the distinction between the two as images will likely be the more complex of the two - Not that it will deter us from it!
We are hoping to be able to tackle at least one of those within the next few months and will be sure to update with a new announcements as we proceed.
@idose Hey! Glad it is working again. From my understanding, this feature means that the PDF uploads are opened on the domain when opened from the live site, and keep the original file name of the file when it was uploaded to the site.
Does this work with EditorX? I have recently had a conversation with someone who works with EditorX sites who has said that this hasn’t worked for them.
Would it be possible for you to let me know. Cheers
@noahlovell currently it still doesnt cover EditorX, a gap that we intend to tackle as soon as possible.
We will make sure to update once this is handled.
@noahlovell happy to update that the feature does indeed work for EditorX as well, after additional testing!
@idose Amazing! This is why I love Wix!
I know this is an old thread, but does this work with Wix studio - as its not working for for my linked pdfs?
