Anyone have a good solution for how to book in different rooms in the same building? The location feature in booking doesn’t quite cut it. I’ve got a fitness client with multiple rooms that they a)hold different classes in and b)rent to outside groups.
They need to be able to see a visual of what rooms are in use/sort through the calendar setting by room or by instructor. Also, they need to know if any events are happening in the room (do events and bookings even link? I’ve never tried to have both but it would be nice if they were on the same calendar).
Curious if anyone has a best practice recommendation before I get too far along in setting this up.

I suggest that you create a staff profile for each of the various rooms in the building and then block off the time that those rooms are used on the Booking Calendar.
Currently, the Events and Booking Calendars are not synced.
yeah, I considered that fix, but see the problem is that then I can’t attach them to an instructor. Ex: Sarah is teaching Yoga in studio A on Wed. For the class I have to choose to categorize either as Studio A or as Sarah (because they are both “instructors”). Then I can’t see whether sarah is booked and can offer massage at that time, or I can’t see whether the room is booked.
Unless I can add more than one instructor to a class…? (also something that should be possible).
And events and booking should definitely be linked, but I had a feeling they wouldn’t be. Ugh. Is there a way to make a one-off class that is only offered once? Then we could make events listed that way…
To set up a one-time session that can serve like an event in a room:
Go to Booking Settings > Create a new Class > Add Sessions
In the service itself, select “Doesn’t Repeat”
This will create a one-off class.
