Bookings Discussion!

Here is another issue that will be great if it can be resolved.

When a member purchase 2 different paid plans, the member can only use the first plan they purchased to order a booking.

The member can only use the second paid plan for booking after the first plan ran out of its set credit.

Would be great if a member who purchased 2 different paid plans - when they get to use the paid plan for booking, they will be able to choose which of the paid plan they want to use for the booking.

@hidemitakagi yes - but this can also be done today (regardless of rules and permissions). meaning - two staff members can provide services at the same time; each staff member has its own availability according to the staff member settings.

agree. this is something we do plan to support in the future but is not supported at the moment.

Hi Hidemi and thanks for your post. unfortunately, this is something we dont support today - but I passed this request to the relevant team.

@sarig-reichert Thank you.

Maybe I can explain it better so you can give the full info to the team.

If for example a member is buying a 10 credit paid plan to use for booking, now they own this plan and can use it until the credit is out.

1 week later, the site owner runs a promotion that sells a very low “monthly unlimited” paid plan, allowing the buyer to use as many credit they want per month.

The same member decide to buy into that new paid plan and now the member owns two paid plans.

Yet when the member will go to book again, they will not be able to use the new “monthly Unlimited” – they will only be able to use the first plan they purchased and only after the 10 credits will be gone, the second plan they purchased will be available.

What I suggest is to allow that a member who has 2 different paid plans, can use any of the plans they have on a drop down menu – rather than have to wait for one plan to expire to be able to use the second plan.

I hope that makes it clearer.

Sorry for my many posts here but I am so glad we have this discussion and the chance it brings for changes.

here is another issue - this time relates to reporting in the booking system.

At the moment, we have no way to aggregate a report of all members “Available Credits”

In other words, if a site owner want to get a report of how many credits left for each student, they need to go one by one, student by student, paid plan by paid plan, and calculate it outside the system manually.

Imagine a school of any kind with hundreds of students, this task is almost an impossible one yet the system has this data in it and it will be so nice to have it be available for the owner to get such a crucial report.

Overall, if we could add “Reporting” link on the dashboard with aggregated data, it will help so much in terms of management as the website and the booking system grows, at the moment it is very limited.

@hidemitakagi Hi and thanks for the above. I truly understand the need and agree this is something we do need to support.

more good news - analytics and reporting is coming soon and being rolled out to our users. you should expect to see this in the next few weeks in your wix dasboard. although we dont support credit report in first rollout (there are other useful reports there), this is something we can add in the future.

@sarig-reichert OMG this is such an amazing news!
Seriously - I can not stress more how important reporting is to the business and if you guys are taking on this issue, it will make WIX booking an offer which can compete with most other booking systems. Good one!!

Since we are having such a great conversation here with the actual people who develop the products, lets raise a couple more issues that can elevate the WIX booking system even higher.

We know that WIX and Google are going hand in hand in so many ways in the system. From getting your business email, to SEO to even schema and other elements.

Why don’t we integrate WIX Booking with Google as well?

One of the great features that Google offers is to allow businesses to book directly from the Google business page and at the moment, they are only integrated with 5 booking services:
(My Time / Appointy / Full Slate / Studio director and WellnessLiving)

Once you set up the integration on the Google business page - visitors can book an appointment right from the search results right column listing your business.

See the image here:

Now if we could integrate WIX Booking within Google Business booking manager, that will give WIX Booking such a massive advantage over most of the booking system out there.

Agree ! while i cant commit to a time line, this is something we are looking at

Once this is done, WIX booking is going up to the major league  wishing you guys the best landing it with Google!

hi everyone,
I would appreciate installing much more module as wix booking to my customers, but it is not possible legally … In France the law requires to validate the terms and conditions of sale before requesting a payment deposit and this “box” is not available although it already exists on wix stores…

Hi - thanks for reaching out - we are aware of this issue and working to add a checkbox to our bookings form. please stay tuned for updates on this matter.

Can we get Add ons? Like if a person books a photography session they can add Hair and make to the booking. The Add on would have to add more time to the session and price.

Wix bookings only in English? Its hard specially if Spanish and Brazilians need to receive emails with instructions on zoom conference links… any idea? See how I managed what was possible from my side:

Limit the number of reservations in Wix Bookings

We would love to limit the number of reservations made by a user per day, maybe a reservation rule that we can add. #featurerequest #WixBookings

My client would like to set class capacity by each staff or session. For example, the weekend class should hold more student than the weekday class. Hope this can be set when adding sessions instead of a generic setting in the service properties.

Hey Leung! Maybe this article can be helpful

I use the ‘Booking Services’ app to add consultation packages. What I want to do is setup a wix automation as soon as someone buys from. I want to use ZAPIER with GetResponse to start an autoresponder sequence. (I know I can integrate with Zapier and GetResponse - that’s not the problem)

At the moment, in the Automations there is no option to automate when someone buys a service ,only if they completed a ‘wix form’, or if you select the ‘Booking Services’ option, if they joined the meeting or not.

Also, there is no option to select the service you want to create an automation for!

Another idea is to use the same features as you would in a eShop and use the same functionality, because in many ways it is.
