Wix Bookings has made a lot of things easy for us, and there is a lot more to come! Have you ever had a client with a very particular service and struggled to find the correct service or availability within Wix Bookings? Do y’all have any genius ideas to improve the setup flow? @mayaf , the Product Manager, will be joining us in this discussion. Feel free to share workarounds, feature requests, and recommendations!

Hello.

I have a customer who rents bikes.

needed to be able to:

for example:

I have 10 mountain bikes. a customer reserves 1 bicycle for the “x” day.

I need a mechanism that automatically counts 9 bikes for that day

this is currently not possible on Wix

Currently, we don’t support the ability to offer rentals. There’s a possible workaround to have a different availability for each rental item (=bike type) but creating multiple staff members and assign each staff to a different service (=bike type).

However, there isn’t a good workaround to manage inventory. The best solution would be to create a service for each rental item, but I guess it won’t look good on the site to have an endless list of services.

Sorry to disappoint, but unfortunately I don’t have a good solution for your need at the moment @geraldisaine .

We are familiar with this need and it’s one of our strongest roadmap candidates.

Maybe that is not doable with Wix Bookings for the moment but it’s possible using Wix Code and Wix Forms .

We have made an easels rental form for example :
https://www.boutique-bozart.ch/location (website is only in french for the moment but you can easily traduce with Google).

Feel free to hire us if you need a personalised form like this for the rentals of your customer.

A little late to the party but it would be great if we could get the ‘Category’ in the Wix Bookings Service databases and Categories as a separate database please!!! for Wix coding!

So we can have repeaters that hold the Category fields for the customer to click on and filter another repeater on the result of what the customer clicks so all available Courses/classes.

@aurora I had a sneaky look at the code that was created for the level-sf site (sorry). From what I can gather, please state otherwise if wrong. The category information for Move, Nourish and breathe are located on a separate database that is filtered to produce the category filtering on the repeater.

It would be easier if having the ‘Category’ field it would then not necessarily require an additional database to be created and information being inputted. The reason I am flagging this is one of my clients is looking to use this service I want to keep it as simple as possible and not require a huge amount of backend admin on top of using the WIX Bookings system.

you are very much correct, we have the categories in that site in an “additional” collection.

I understand that you are looking to also have a collection that shows the categories from the Wix Bookings dashboard, and it is something we are considering to add in the future, so currently the work-around is to setup your own collection with references.

It would be amazing if there was a way to generate or get Guest list for staff members without allowing said Staff members access to the entire back-end of Wix Bookings. This could be done by either three ways:

A possible Wix Bookings Calendar Widget, so each staff member can see their entire calendar with the participants list that could be located within the Members area.

OR

Using Wix Bookings WIX Code API allowing us to retrieve select customer information from backend for example Name, Email, Contact, Group of

OR

Wix Code Databases having a read only database for customer bookings, listing all bookings made via Wix Bookings app.

I’m aware that you could with the New wix booking code api you can do 1 to 1 sessions and send that information to your own Database, but it’s not possible with group bookings using Wix Paid Plans. Unless there is a way, then please do let me know!

I’m creating a very advance booking service with multiple staff and customer based staff members, so to reduce unnecessary access for both types of staff members to obtain customer information from outside their own workshops, this would be a great addition, also would help to comply with GDPR Regs in the UK.

The possibility too choose the way you want to accept payments per Wix app. For instance, I have Wix Bookings on my website and I don’t want the option Manual Payment for the services that can be booked through the app. But I have also Wix Events on my site where I want to give people the opportunity to pay manualy at the event.

Accept Payments is now at the Dashboard and you choose your payment methods on an overall level for at least these two apps together (I think the payment options for Wix Hotels can be arranges through that app). I prefer to arrange my payment options per app.

I have an Issues with API function checkoutBooking(). It gives an error: {code: -10010, message: “Over Capacity”}

It’s not very informative for me . Is anyone here who can help?

I’m trying to update or get rid of the service page because my client sells surf trips and don’t need to have the details of days and hours, as well as the number of sessions.

It would be great if those pages could be editable or the user journey changeable.

Any tips on actually making the User Journey better for booking trips that are longer than a week?

When the booking if for any type of studio, school, classes etc:

How about adding the ability for each staff member to be able to view their own dashboard, classes and booking and be able to edit only their own classes and booking?

At the moment, if a client has a school of any kind, any teacher can see/edit all the other teachers schedule and classes, there is no way to allow each staff to get their level of access only.

hi - good news - we are rolling out this feature so each staff member has access to his services. you can expect to see this in your wix dashboard in the next few weeks, under ‘roles and permissions’

This is excellent news!! I will let my clients know about the upcoming changes and gear up for it.

Here is another one:

At the moment- when creating paid plans for the booking system, there is now way to add tax at checkout to paid plans cost. We need to add the tax to be included in the prices which cause quite strange pricing numbers and we need to explain that those prices include tax

It will be much more clear and comfortable user experience if the prices will be presented as in WIX store - in round nice price and the tax is added on checkout.

One more question about the upcoming upgrade to staff personal dashboard and management.

Will this feature allow different staff members to overlap a booking on the same time slot so for example two teachers can both create booking for 7-9pm class?

In other words, will the individual dashboard and access level will allow creation of overlapping time slots within the booking calendar?
