I have a customer that have CAKE POS system on his restaurant and the website with Wix, when he receive an online order he have to type the order on the POS. So, I wonder if exist a method to connect the wix online orders with POS systems. They should not to type again the orders, or someone had the same situation!
Hi there, this is currently a feature you can vote for here .
Yes it is 100% possible thru a third party integration. The integrator is ‘Checkmate’ and they are injecting orders from WiX into the Toast POS right now by mapping the fields for one of my clients. They must tie in WiX R’s API thru the use of the JSON format that WiX supports. The only trick is that checkmate doesn’t support EVERY POS (and the POS must be partnered with WiX for the added integration to work. Good news is they do have an extensive POS Supported list. Check out their website for Cake POS compatibility. If they don’t support it then you can try others, there are many. This is a big thing now to integrate online ordering food systems with COVID and all. LMK how goes and if not chekmate then I will dig up the others for you. Checkmate costs $80 a month.
Also follow my thread on the WiX restaurants printing that you commented on recently. I have excellent news on how you can print to the cloud using a star micronics integration called CloudPRNT that will shoot the order directly to the SM TSP 654II via the cloud bypassing the soon to be deprecated Google Cloud Print.
And one more thing. The WiX restaurants phone order so not exploited. Does you client realize that they can use that like a POS to some extent? WiX has some serious potential. But somehow, someway, I think that WiX is so all over the place (in good ways) that maybe the product team doesn’t know the potential it truly has. Or maybe they do and not telling us yet . I see a slew of WiX reporting tools, metrics, consolidations of payments and all that is starting to mature. Really like what WiX is doing lately:+1:
Thank you for that, sounds really good because I just ordered the Micronics TSP 654II too!
I’m with you on all these things! I’m exciting learning the tools that Wix have for my customers and the integrations with the POS could be a huge step forward!
Thank you for share this info!
