since I found out about Hotjar I wish I could use it on my site. Recently I got an email about new feature Wix Code. I tried to inject Hotjar’s javascript to section which was not possible before. Unfortunately, Hotjar is still not supported by Wix. Hotjar support team told me that it’s out of their control and the better way to figure out what is going on is to contact Wix support. So here I am.

In order to embed an html code like the snipping code Hotjar provides, you should use the wix html component feature (not a wix-code feature).
Please note that html components does have some limitations.
If you wish to embed this code to all site’s pages you should place the html component in the header.

I tried to insert my Hotjar Tracking Code to header section with HTML component on my homepage. Suprisingly Hotjar shows me that tracking is active - at least it should be. Unfortunately, I still don’t see any recordings on dashboard. Strange…
I saw that Hotjar is coming to wix code. I am not sure if it’s active yet. You said that you you got it activated did it work at all for you?
As you can see in my previous post I used the HTML component to add the Hotjar tracking code to the header section. On my dashboard (hotjar) I can see the green checkbox so it should work. In fact, it does not record anything … Where did you find info that hotjar is coming to wix?
