Can you build two websites on one domain in Wix?

I have a prospective client that is wanting 2 websites on one domain. Is that possible?
I was thinking that the Home Page would have links to the 2 “websites” and then I would create a page for one website and a page for the other website. But then there is no way to have separate navigation menus to each of those pages, is there? Would I just hide the header and footer on all pages and then add an individual menu bar to each page and hide/show the relevant pages in the bar? Does anyone have any insight or suggestions of how to do this?

Why he wants 2 websites in the same domain? Besides the fact it cant be done technically, it doesn’t make sense.

That was my thought but I thought that maybe I’m missing something…I read about the ability to do it with sub domains but I didn’t quite understand the approach.

I questioned him on it and I think he is reconsidering and getting a second domain.

@tamara subdomain is an option, or hiding footer and header. But again he got to have a very good reason to do so.

Okay, thank you for confirming my thoughts.

Hi @tamara
If your client wants to get multiple websites under the same domain this is completely possible.

Indeed, if for example your client has his “main website” and a “support” website, you can with the subdomain have your main website www.example.com and your other site dedicated to support on support.example.com

So 1 domain but multiple website
exemple: shop.exemple.com or support.exemple.com or event.exemple.com

You could have your main site with tabs, and in one of the tabs you can integrate for example the support link. This is what Wix does in particular with support.wix.com which is different from Wix.com . So

To do this, however, you will have to purchase additional Wix hosting for each subdomain and then connect each subdomain according to this procedure

Thanks! The how-to article link doesn’t work, but perhaps I can find it. I have never used sub domains. Do you have to purchase it like you would a domain?

No, you do not have to buy sub domains. These are created in the same place that you edit domain details.

Thank you!
