Can you help with editing code for Products on Wix?

Hello!

I am setting up a new business and need to add products onto my site. I am using Velo to edit my site, and would like to edit the code for specific products on my site to add more drop down options, more personalisation option fields for the customer and also to only track inventory for one of the variants (e.g there are 3 options - size, background colour, 2nd colour - and I only want to track inventory for the size as the others are easily obtained and don’t need to be tracked!)

I have called support about this and have got as far as using Velo, but need to know how to edit the code now.

When I try to edit the collection items, it shows me the code but says it is read-only (it also won’t show the code for tracking inventory?)

Any help would be great, thanks!

You cannot simply edit in Store/Products database

Please build a custom product page + create a new database to save extra info of products.

Also, the product page element cannot be edited using code. Only limited edits on designs using “setting(gear)”

@certified-code Thank you - I was told on the phone that I would be able to do what I’d asked altering what is currently there using Velo - will have to look into doing this. Thanks!
