Changing which option shows first from existing member’s login to new member’s sign up does not update. I tried it several times, even on a new fresh website from templates, it doesn’t work. I’m not using a custom signup here, just the default.

Are you able to provide more details about what’s happening here? Perhaps screenshots showing what’s currently happening and then details about the expected outcome. 
So you see this modal when you want to change Member Signup Settings, right? I want to change what comes out first to “New Members Signup” but what happens is nothing. I’ll click the “New Members Signup”, publish the website, and see that the Log In option will still show instead of the Sign Up option. I’ll go back to see the settings, and instead of the “New Members Signup” that is activated, it’s the “Existing Members Login”.
I’m expecting that the Sign Up option will be the first option to show instead of the Log In option.
