Convert Javascript Code to HTML ready code

Hey Wix Code team,

Quick summary:

  1. Building a website for a church
  2. We’re trying to add a livestream code to the new site to display their Livesteam video
  3. They sent me the code: I tried it, but it is not working. WIX said it was a Java Script Code and needs to be in HTML, HTTPS format to be able to upload.
  4. I have no idea what all that means.
  5. This project is for 3 different church campuses, so I have 3 unique links/javascript codes.
  6. WIX told me to post it here to see about getting some help to convert the code properly
  7. I greatly need one of your genius minds to help me out and get this client taken care of

Please let me know if somebody can help!!!

You can’t convert Javascript to HTML. Javascript is ‘HTML ready’. Did you put the javascript inside an html element on your page? Can you post the code they gave you?

Thanks for the quick response. I clicked:

  1. the add button
  2. more
  3. HTML iFrame
  4. added the code in
  5. nothing really happened - I could just see code

Also, the WiX Expert hotline person is who told me that. Keeping in mind, I’m not familiar with code at all.

@coryv344 Can you post the code? What they probably mean is that the code needs to be properly wrapped in html. Javascript isn’t HTML but it needs to be properly set up within the html to be called.

So it should be something like:

<script type="text/Javascript> ****your code***** </script> </body> </html> <p>I’m not intimately familiar with how the HTML iframe works but this is how you would include javascript in HTML.</p>

@danielanderson Before i do this, do you want me to just reply with all of the code? like all of it on here lol? It looks like so much

I don’t necessarily need to see the code. Can you verify that it starts and ends with the tag like my example above?

It does not - I don’t see HTML anywhere

Keep in mind - I have 3 different links. One livestream code for each church campus.

@coryv344 When you say 3 different links do you mean URL links? Did they give you links and the code?

@coryv344 Can you go to https://pastebin.com/ and paste a copy of what they gave you?

@danielanderson We are working in drop box. The three different church campuses are Nederland, Beaumont, and Sugarland. I can add your email to our shared dropbox

@coryv344 I sent you an email.
