[corvid-cli] login command never pops up window to authenticate

Hi, whenever I try any of the following commands:

  • npx create-corvid-app
  • npx corvid login
  • corvid login (I have corvid-cli installed as a node module globally)

The terminal hangs and never ever finishes the authentication procedure. This is where it stops:

I would expect a browser window to open to add my credentials. But this and nothing similar ever happens.

Am I missing any configuration?

P.S.: during installation of all corvid packages I didn’t get any error message. So, I believe all is working properly.

Found an issue with the corvid-cli? Have a suggestion for how we can improve this feature? Submit your feedback https://www.wix.com/wix-lp/corvid-lp

Done that. Thanks. But it would be really nice if someone could take a look at this and find a solution. :slight_smile:

@fabiomolinar

Yes everything would be good if it always had a solution. However, note that Corvid CLI is still in the testing stages and you are using it with the full knowledge that things can work and things can not work or get broken etc.

So, unfortunately, unless a Wix Mod from this forum passes on the issue to the CLI team or you get a response from your feedback sent through the CLI page link, then you will just have to wait and see if it gets fixed.

Important:
Features relating to the Local Editor are currently in the stage of alpha release and are still being developed. Future functionality may not be backward compatible. When using these features, you assume the risks associated with the use of such an alpha version.

Hi @givemeawhisky ,

Please, don’t understand my comment as a complaint. I understand that. And I understand the local editor is in alpha stage. That’s in fact a good reason to take this issue into consideration since one would not like users to get this type of error once the tool is finally released.

With that in mind, I have already sent a formal feedback and I also got in contact with support. Hopefully we can find a fix and I will post it here for others with the same issue.

As to the forum, what I am hoping to find here is someone who had the same problem and found a fix for it.

@fabiomolinar

Don’t worry as I didn’t. I just wished that there was a better way of contacting the CLI team during the testing stages.

Yes, in theory it is still Corvid and so should be here in this forum, however it really should have it’s own separate section or forum itself so that any issues/problems/solutions can be discussed openly with all users in the testing stages before full public release.

By the way, have a quick search of this forum for Corvid CLI, see if there are any other posts that might be related.
