Hi everyone,
I’ve been struggling with the creation of a cookies message on wix. The app that wix provides is great on computer but ugly on phones. The only way I could “create” a cookies message is thanks to a lightbox, but this solution isn’t great (as users have to click everytime). My question is simple, is there a way to create a cookie message (with a ligthbox or not) that appears only one time by user with wix code ? i’m not an expert in wix code yet but I would like to learn and then use it. I was thinking that maybe we could store a data for every users but I don’t know exactly how… Thanks for your answer, that would really help !
Hi,
You should stick to the app provided by Wix.
The reason is that you don’t have a way to “remember” every visitor that arrives to your website, unless they are registered and logged in members. Websites save a flag to a cookie in the visitor’s browser to “remember” that the user has seen and clicked on the cookie message. At this time, WixCode does not provide a way to work with cookies.
You should provide your feedback re. the app’s uglyness on mobile devices so that it is improved.
Regards,
Leeor.
HI,
Thanks for your answer. But I think I saw that it was possible to store in a database when the users come first time thanks to wix storage. Then you could display or not a lightbox. Do you think I can do the same with a lightbkx turned into a cookie message ? Here is the link of the discussion:
Could someone help me ?
