Custom Icons on Buttons Problem

I contacted Wix about this last week and have not heard back from them, so I thought I’d come to you.

When I create buttons often times I want a custom icon. Easy enough—just upload a one-color .svg file. However, the problem is that sometimes I upload an .svg and changing the color of the icon works just fine (notice first screenshot). Other times, I upload one and the color of the icon is NOT editable (see second screenshot).

Is there something I’m doing wrong? Or…is this some kind of bug?

SOLVED: I solved my own problem but will leave this up in case it’s useful to anyone else.

The .svg must have a color hex value of #000000. Several of mine were black as far as the color picker in Illustrator but did not have the correct hex value. Also, I THINK (haven’t proven this one yet) that the document color mode in Illustrator needs to be RGB.
