Custom membership fields limited to 200 or 120 characters?

Is it possible to change the character limit for a custom member field?

Currently if I edit Account details and add a text field, that field won’t accept more than 120 characters. I’d like something more like 800.

Someplace else I was able to create a member/account custom rich text field that accepted 200 characters but I’m not sure how to replicate that without some searching.

I’m using Wix Editor, without dev mode. I have a CMS set up and am using that fine.

I’m now trying to allow artists in our gallery to edit their own biography and need to allow more than 200 characters.

I completely understand the frustration with the 120–200 character limit for custom member fields it really restricts what users can put in their bios or other detailed info. It would be great if Wix allowed longer text or rich-text fields. This is related to a topic on the Wix Help Center about making Custom Private Fields Visible in the Members Area, which also discusses how private member fields can be better integrated into app collections for more flexibility.
