Is it possible to customise individual blog post designs? Or is it only the sub standard Title, image, text format that’s possible?

What are you trying to achieve:
I want to customise the layout of my blog posts. For example if I’m creating a post to showcase a list of product recommendations, I want the list to be in a form of a product carousel that stacks horizontally. Another example, I want to create an image and text sitting next to the text similar to a strip header.
What have you already tried:
I’ve tried using the CMS dynamic pages feature but getting very confused
