Is there a way to adjust settings so that data entered in a “date field” on a Wix form stores as a date in the submission table, rather than as text?

What are you trying to achieve:
I have a few forms on my site that require selection of a date. I have this setup in my forms to use the “Date Field” within Wix forms. When the data entered is stored in the submission table, though, the date is stored as a text field rather than a date field. I need to be able to sort and filter by date to look at and process submissions. Is there a way to change how this data field is stored so that it does store in the submission table as a date field?
What have you already tried:
I haven’t had any luck finding tutorials or other forum discussions on this one.
