@zokierc thanks. The question id whether or not this improvement is consistent. If you tested it one or two times only that might be a co-indecent.
I’m asking because I tried it and didn’t see an improvement.
@jonatandor35 Improvement is consistent. Like givemeawhiskey said “Don’t overuse it”!
@zokierc Thanks. did you put it in the analytics&tracking tools section or what?
@jonatandor35 I don’t use any analytics or tracking tool.
@zokierc so where do you put these lines?
@jonatandor35
Just open your Wix Dashboard, go to Settings, then SEO and open it in your editor, same as meta tags.
Here is mine:
Although note that I added mine at the end of May and it did speed it up, especially on mobile devices that I used and other people used.
However, I haven’t removed it since Wix had that Wix Turbo update etc. So in theory, it might not make any difference now if I removed it as I haven’t tested it since then without it.
@givemeawhisky Thanks. I just don’t see any significant difference
I got this from Andreas Kviby from one of his videos whilst he was doing WixShow, I’ve had a quick search and found an old forum post about it here which still has the working video for it.
https://www.wix.com/corvid/forum/community-discussion/performance-tips-that-worked-for-me
Note that this won’t work for everybody who tries it and not to the same speeds either, plus it was set up by Andreas before it was known that it was actually supported with Wix.
So, if it doesn’t work great for you then just dismiss it and like I’ve said before, with the Wix Turbo update you might not actually need the use of it anymore.
Times you wish that Andreas was still here…
Plus, with the oncoming increase of technology from 4G/4G+ to 5G and more fibre to home connections etc, then in theory I would expect load times to get a whole lot shorter in the future too, even with Wix.
@givemeawhisky thanks. I just wanted it to work. Wix has to do something with the awful speed.
I agree. it’s time for Wix to hire a performance expert.
@yisrael-wix and Wix Team,
Do you see how desperate we are?
How we try to find every possible (and impossible) way to speed up the page loading?
Can you tell us what Wix is planning to do in the close future in order to solve the speed problem ?(apparently Wix Turbo is not enough, and the performance is not satisfying).
It became a real problem, and as much as I love working with Wix (you can see how active I am), I know I won’t be able to keep working with it for the long term unless I can convince my boss you have a plan to significantly speed it up soon.
Tried the pre load, pre-fetch with multiple permutations and combinations. Stripped the entire page of any elements and still no improvement in speed.
Main issue seems to be the bolt-worker.js and very frustrating to see that there is still no solution.
@J.D. @yisrael-wix To add to this, I’ve just also noticed that (on android at least) the browser status bar on all wix sites seems to be hidden - so to compound the long loading times it appears as if nothing happens when you click between pages! I’ve just posted about this separately - https://www.wix.com/corvid/forum/community-discussion/mobile-loading-status-bar-hidden-on-all-wix-sites
Could you pease specify exactly where should insert this code ? As I cannot find SEO tab in WIX editor… Thanks! @GOS
