This is a horribly critical feature! Without it, I keep wondering if it’s not time to consider an alternative to wix. What is the plan for this capability?
+1 What the …?!? Agreed it should be a basic capability.
Also need ability to bulk delete records. When I did an import, it imported 950 empty records and the only way to delete them is ONE AT A TIME. aaaaaAND… can’t delete or rename the database so I’m stuck with that. SUCKS!

I was able to select a single row, or with command (On Mac) perhaps CTRL (With Windows) I was able to select another row in addition to the other and when I selected Command+A it selected all records. CTRL+A should also work for Windows.
Do delete the database contents you can either HIGHLIGHT the rows and right-click row # and select delete.
OR
Go to your sandbox, add 1 entry, click sync to live … replace all live records with sandbox record. And then you only have 1 row to delete.
Robin, unfortunately, I can be specific about our timeline, but I can assure you that that’s one of the things we will definitely take care of.
UUURRRH!!! Please guys… its been over 6 months of asking to Rename and Delete Collections.
I really need to be able to delete databases as I created a few, but no longer need!
Agree !
A soft delete would be best, same goes for rows, I happened once to delete an entry by mistake.
Second the comment about at least having the ability to rename so we can mark “mistakes” as defunct for future deletion (or repurposing).
+1
Another vote for this!
Another vote from me. It isn’t even possible to delete columns permanently. I would like to delete and recreate so I have more control over dynamic field-key naming. Right now, if columns are deleted, new columns can not be recreated with the same name (only restored). If I could delete the entire collection, I’d just start over and not have to deal with the other issues.
While I’m at it, why not add “Delete Permanently” below “Restore” in the “Deleted Fields” select menu. The same method could apply to collections.
Whilst I understand the need to uphold data integrity there is absolutely no reason to withhold a delete function. It is FUNDAMENTAL
It seems we are just making a very long and futile post because nothing is being done. Our priorities are not those of the wix-team.
I agree with this requirement. Adding my vote for this!
Hey guys,
I wanted to let everyone know that you can select multiple rows in a collection and then delete them (or copy or duplicate them). Check out this post to see how.
This is why Wix is considered a huge joke. NOBODY CARES ABOUT DELETING ROWS. WE WANT TO DELETE THE WHOLE DATABASE. This is exactly why I deleted my site from this host. Lazy staff and amateur web pages. Just garbage.
Brandon, I think they get it. Look, they’re obviously concerned about data integrity at this nascent stage. That’s understandable. It is Beta for a reason. I know it’s been 6 months or whatever. They’re going to resolve this. They have said that. I think what Wix is doing is ambitious. I’m inclined to cut them some slack.
I also don’t understand why there is no option to delete a database. Needed to keep things neat and clean and free up resources.
I agree with Kev (Hi Kevin!)
Out of curiosity, Brandon … if you have already made the step to delete your website … why are you still following the forum? Inclined to return if you see something of interest?
If I know anything about the staff or platform … they are definetely not lazy nor amateur.
If you dont mind …this forum is a knowledge hub for professionals not for unproductive comments or complaints.
P.S. to everyone. A temporary hack is to go to history manager and revert to an older version of your site to remove that database (that is misspelled or not needed).
