Hi, I have the following problem: I added some documents (PDF) in a collumn of my database, for which I have chosen the fieldtype ‘document’. But it doesn’t appear in the collumn list when formatting my table.
Hello!
You can add documents to the table in the same way as links.
See here:

press this button and choose your document field
thanks! it is a bit of a detour, but ik works. For a user of the website it would be easier if he could click on the document icoon or name in a column in the table. But that is not possible because you can’t connect a column in the table with the column in the database which has a field type document. Your solution works but you have to choose carefully the labels of the cells. For example: if you connect the column Title in your table and links this to the column Documents in your database, the labels of the cells under Title in your database must have a name like “download notes meeting 5/12/2017”. Because otherwise a visitor don’t know that a click on lets say “notes” downloads these particular notes.
Hi!
For current incarnation of product - this is decision for documents. But, of course your idea does make sense
If it’s possible, please add post to feature requests section - here:
We try to track future requests from users and tune our development priorities accordingly
Thanks!
I can upload the documents to a collection. But now I need to know how display these documents in a page or how the user can download them. It looks that WIX gave the possibility to upload the Document with the Upload Button , but is not way to use these Documents from a page?
Have you figured it out, I’m having the same problem.
@r0u0turt0 I figured out a way, If you get an image and select connect to data, you can link it to a PDF. So I just used a png icon of a document!
