Dynamic Location to HTML Weather Widget

Hi, I am trying to find out if it is possible to embed a weather widget to a dynamic page and then have it so the location on the widget changes based on the location from data in the collection.

As a start point I have been using the HTML embed code from https://weatherwidget.io/

This is the code used to create the widget

Can Velo be used to make this data dynamic using any of the below location fields?

Any help would be much appreciated.

You will need to pass the location to your script using messaging. See the article Velo: Working with the HTML iframe Element . This will require changes to the script. You should check with the script provider on what changes are needed for specifying a location.

The script is just generated from a free source, I doubt I will get that information. I was hoping someone would know how to modify and or override parts of it to pick up the dynamic information from my collection database.

You will need to modify the script to receive a message, containing a location, from the page.

Yes, that is what I am asking. I don’t know how to do that. I don’t have much Velo / HTML knowledge.

Perhaps someone here on the forum has experience with this, or you may want to check out the Wix Marketplace - it’s a place where you can look for Velo experts for hire.
