Currently, on the home page (which is a static page with a dynamic repeater), the social buttons redirect to our social media pages, which is a bit odd.
I really WIX and how it works, but now I am stuck.
I want to use the social media buttons to help people share our content and not redirect to our channels.
Please help me in making dynamic share buttons.
The database uses two columns:
- Heading
- Quote

So by the looks of your home page, you attached a social media bar onto a repeater.
Social media bars are:
-
not codable, which means you cannot connect dynamic or unique links to each icon
-
are not meant for ‘sharing’, they are meant for navigating to a social media page
If your goal is to have someone share a piece of information located on the repeater by clicking a social media icon, then you will have to code it from scratch.
I have a tutorial that shows how to create share buttons on a dynamic page. Depending on your level of coding, you may be able to customize the code to fit your needs on your repeater.
You will have to use individual icons / buttons to trigger each code.
You will have to setup or configure settings on each social platform, if required. (For example, you have to get a FB ID code, etc)
