Good morning, good people,
I’ve created this thread because I have a minor issue that I’d like to fix, however, I don’t even know if it’s possible.
I need to add the customer’s email address to the data displayed on the Thank You page, so it can be captured by Google for tracking.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to add custom fields to be displayed on the Thank You page in Editor X’s interface. So, I was wondering if it can be done through the back-end with a custom code somehow? Is there a way to modify the data displayed on the Thank You page and populate it with some additional values from the Checkout, like customer eMail?
Is it possible for you guys to help me fix it, and how much would that cost?
Thank you so much for your help in advance!
Hi @jacoberacine
You can use wix-window API - trackEvent to send the data to GA.
getOrder() from #thankYouPage element helps you get the email from the order.
Why you need to add a field? (And it does not matter to what Editor)
Hope it works,

Hi @certified-code ,
Thank you so much for your answer and help. Truly appreciate it!
I need customer eMail displayed (or populated, can be hidden as long it can be extracted from the data layer) on the Thank You page because my marketing expert needs it for tracking.
Since I do not cover the marketing costs, he’s investing his own money; thus, I want to make sure that he has everything he asks me for. He told me that he cannot extract the customer’s eMail during the checkout because, apparently, it’s in an iframe during the checkout.
So he told me that if there’s a way to populate the Thank You page with the eMail that the customer provided during the checkout, it would be ideal.
I believe that the way you described would solve our problems. However, I’m not a dev head, and I won’t be able to do it all by myself.
Would you be able to do it for me? If I can hire you so you can fix this problem, it would be amazing and I’d be more than grateful!
