Event List

I have a table in the Deskotp version of my website which I use as an event calendar.

This is displayed in the mobile version so large that just one column can be seen completely. How can I adjust that so that the Calendar in the Mobile Version is smaller? If I make the calendar on the desktop version so small, that is visually bad.

Furthermore, I have created four columns as a database:

Column 1 (appointments as text because this can not be changed to date format, otherwise I would only need 3 columns)

Dates (Dates as date format)

place

info

In the editor I have only 3 columns (dates, location, info)

In the database, sorting by date works (old to new, dates column). In the editor in the preview too. On the website after publication, the sorting is usually completely messed up.

If I also link the date column from the editor with the date column from the database, it appears in the editor, but not on the website after publication. The column remains empty.
Kindest Regards
Daniel

Hello???
I’m still waiting for an answer!!!
What is that for a bad service???

Hi Daniel,
Firstly, I’m truly sorry for the late response. For questions about the event calendar app, I’m afraid that you would need to contact Wix Support team as they know more about this app.
As for your second query, It seems like you haven’t synced the data from the sandbox to the live site. I recommend to read the following articles to know more about DB collections:

I recommend also checking the collection permissions:

Have a good day,
Tal.

What a joke. The Wix Support Team has forwarded me to you!!!
if you offer the service you promise, you would not have to constantly apologize. That the table is not linked, is not true! Do your job!!! And for this answer i had to wait one week…

To which calendar you were referring? This one ? If so, note that this forum is specialised in Wix Code product. For questions about apps from the app market, you should contact support. If this is not what you were referring, I recommend adding a screenshot to better explain what you were referring.

As for a table not linked- I’m not sure what you were referring. Can you please clarify? Screenshots and the site URL would be helpful to better assist you with your question.

Did i wrote anything about an app??? No. I use a table with a database as a event calendar!!! Look here: www.the-reset.de

Hello???

???
I think I should publish a complaint about you in Facebook on the wix site. Obviously you are not interested in a solution, otherwise you would read my messages correctly. Just pretending to be stupid is already poor.

I’ve accessed your site and editor and saw that the table is connected to the collection:

As previously requested, please send us a screenshot of the issue so that I can better understand what you were referring…

That’s the problem, you do not read what I write. As you can see and as I have already written to you, the dates are confused, although they should be sorted by date as entered. In the preview it is correct. Picture 1

In the mobile view, the size of the table does not fit. How can I adjust this? For this I have not found a solution.

As someone who uses WiX and also experiences many issues, as does any service. I actually was going to post a suggestion but after reading your comments and bearing witness to how RUDE you have been whilst not clearly explaining the issues you are facing with, Tai has despite this has tolerated your remarks. Tables especially with three columns, with font sizes as such is not something that requires a code expert. As part of a community who helps one another no one is obligated, I invite you to show some respect, and that will indeed invite more members to help solve your issue.

Hi Daniel,

1. Regarding the sort by date issue
You defined the sort by dates column from Old-> New (as I can see it from yours dataset)

BUT
In the table you are not using the same column, you are using the text column with manual added dates as a text and not using the type format of date.

Result - Data sorted by dates, but yours column is not the same as a dates → you feel that it is not sorted.
Actually - it has a right sort, but not as you wanted.

Solution - [Connect table panel] instead of a text column “Spalte1”, connect the “Termine1”, it will work as you need.

2. Regarding the mobile view design
You defined custom design for the table component - and it’s looks okay for the desktop (as I understand from yours description), on the smaller screens/mobile devices - it can’t fit the screen with custom design, you need to adjust it for mobile as well. I can suggest the next solutions:
# If you would like to stay with huge fonts, you need to define ( increase ) the columns width - changed to 200px, looks better. But in this case, user will need to use the horizontal scroll on mobile to reach the table data.

# Another solution, you can add the same table, connect to the same data - without changing the design/fonts/layouts etc. Hide it on desktop and show on mobile by using a simple code snippet -

And you need to hide the desktop table from the mobile view. That’s it.

Please be polite and patient.

Thanks .

You’re so smart. Pretty big words for someone who has no idea what problems i have with Wix. I write almost daily with Wix on Facebook, Wix Support and here. I am constantly being sent back and forth. Incidentally, I was sent by Wix to Wix Code. So far I have not received any solution from Wix or even a statement. And basically I can wait a week for an answer. I pay monthly for a premium service. Is that premium? So if you have no idea, shut up. Post where someone cares!!!

@ Alexander
Hello Alexander, thank you. I will check that. After more than 3 weeks you’re the first one who offered a solution. Perfect

Hello Alexander, so i connected the “Termine 1” and than on the website the dates are missing…
Regarding to code snippet. I do not know about it…

Hey,
Just two more clicks, “Termine 1” column - simply not synced to live site/live data.

Please go to the Sandboxsync → and copy the relevant data to live database

After the sync you will see the missing data.

Thanks.

This is a community forum. You have had a bad experience with WiX in its totality thus you are blaming people at a wrong platform and burdening your predicament to someone who had put effort in to at least understanding the issue. You’re at the wrong place, I’ll tell you instead – They probably, most likely referred you here because its rich in resources and full of skilled, creative people.

I asked once in my first post you stop being rude. Do not address me directly with foul words since you’re only insulting one of among many online personas identities we all naturally use as a brand and so on. It cannot speak, so you know nothing of me either. Perhaps you should re consider and re align your expectations. Since your understanding of the word “PREMIUM” hints to mean something more than a mere subscription rather than a term that divides the levels of those services (Based on what the user needs). The excess is unwise so that bias is common among the ignorant and is quiet problematic. As it’s an assumption not something of true and or tangible value. Focus on what it lists to offer you. Then continue at the actual platform itself not here.

I can also ‘help’ you understand the meaning to what you clearly misunderstand, especially in relation to your case. It is certainly not what you thought, it never will be either. It’s not a status that gives you leverage and at worst authority to command them around. Everyone can speak where ever they please (without abusing WiX community guidelines). So, it’s worth being mindful to distinguish the technical and literal variations of what you believe or feel more inclined to define as the title ‘premium’ of the service you currently have upgraded to. This post is not your property either, you are not in any position to moderate what someone else says. At best you can report it as abuse. But I didn’t do that, I directly addressed you to point out and remind you of something that was clearly UNFAIR.

Also, this complex of yours does not entitle you to a thing in this ‘particular’ platform, The Wix/ Code/ ‘forum’ platform (Notice how the “/” is used to suggest how the sub categories divide). A free user can have more urgency & priority based on the nature of their query and how they communicate it. If WiX redirects them here, you must speak to them about the details of dissatisfaction. I also know that any user here be it a worker, an affiliate/associate or partner will also deserve the same amount respect and are not pressured merely because they have a badge that links them to WiX.

Funny how you think I’d take this time writing long paragraphs to be what you’ve implied to be ‘attention seeking’. It’s quite funny that you cannot identify who the troll here is, it also is not a matter of anyone caring about me. It is about how much me cares about I, that’ll suffice for me then I will react and respond to what I witness to be rude and dubious. I posted through my own discretion and chose to highlight those things that appear to be as such.

For the record, I also have an exhaustive list of different subscriptions from the most feature abundant Premium (It is VIP too) to the Basic and the free - All in Wix, the exact same place you are a user of. I also happen to have it in quantities linked to many different accounts thus different personas so I’m pretty sure that if I was to follow your logic, I should be far more superior to what you deceived yourself to believe as inferior. Furthermore, It would also (from what you are implying) entitle me to the leverages and perks outstretched superior to what you have put forward in your defense or perhaps your justifications. So again, you’d not enjoy this as it would have placed you in a dual disposition.

Your ambiguity stems from phrasing your issues, so your poor communication skills do not equal to being smarter, so your compliment is rejected. I already told you what you were doing wrong and what you are continuing to do wrong (at a moral level). No user should behave in ways that is indicate of abuse. If you do not respect those boundaries, no one will respect yours. This forum deserves praise as an opportunity, resource and potential provided with the emergence of the new feature of Wix code. This neither praises or rates WiX’s competency in addressing certain issues. That’s something that would be variably complex judged on an individual, person by person, case by case basis.

Sorry, but I do not have the time to read you Post. It is too long for me. And i’m not interested in your opinion. Help people instead of thinking that you have to teach them. There is finally Facebook. Every day a new moral apostle is searched there.
