Event Website Page Auto-Change

I am about to build a local events website, and want to use Wix, however they informed me that the most important functionality for my site is not currently built into the Wix platform. I want to know if anyone is able to build the code that will do this?

My home-page needs to show the content for the day automatically. Essentially I want to be able to create my home page for each day ahead of time and have it change at a specific time based on my scheduling this update. This should be a similar process as scheduling a new blog post, but will also need to delete/remove the previous one, or only show the most current post.

Does it require payments?

No. It’s going to be the new line up of events for that current day. I will be writing the content in advance. I just need to be able to set a queue ahead of time and schedule the newer content to post daily

This is a function I need for my site as well. We need to be able to advance schedule page changes for weekly and monthly specials, so we can have those changes drop at midnight instead of when I can get to them the next day.

I also want a daily specials to change each day automatically. I there anything out there?

OK so what I found after lots of searching is… Both wix and square space couldn’t offer what we were asking for. At least not in the simple format we were looking for. We ended up having to use wordpress and have been working with mycalendar, and it has been working great. We are currently looking into the paid version of eventcalendar with wordpress. For some reason detailed auto populating is a hard funcion for calendars, and simple is not what websites do anymore. Check out our site. We will be making some changes, but it updates itself. We have different info per-page all auto populating from the same calendar but with different catregories. We are hoping to be able to have it become something easy for local businesses to load info to the website. It is still in the early delevelopment stages but hopefully it can help you out. Thebig2nite.com check it out. It’s going back to when websites were simple and got you out.
