Hi there, Editor X is not applying my mobile design settings to screens below 330px. Instead it applies the desktop settings. From 340px and up, everything is working fine. This is happening on all pages for all sections. Any idea what’s going on?
Hi @hello42069 , the smallest breakpoint on Editor X is 330px. What is the screen size or use case you are designing for under 330px?
Ah ok that explains what’s happening! I tried everything trying to figure this out haha. Well an iPhone 3, 4, 5 and SE are all 320px. Can this be changed to include these devices? It’s not very logical that desktop would be applied to these tiny devices, rather than mobile. There are quite a lot of people using these old devices, as well as non apple brands.
hey, Sophie
320 PX should be available for you
could you please share the screenshots from the live site on devices like iPhone 5 and screenshot from your Editor X with 330 limit?
What device are using @sophie? I tried testing this out and but those device/browser might not even support the necessary browsers to load Editor X.
- https://support.wix.com/en/article/supported-browsers (on here it states iPhone 7 and above)
(This is on an OG iPhone SE and happens on both Safari and Chrome)
Our team I think is aware of this and I’ve brought it up but I wanted to mention this.
As a note, I can’t recreate on the newer SEs (the 2020 and 2022 version) as those have a higher viewport:
Hi there, my site isn’t live yet, as I’m still building it. So responsive is not applied to 330px and below. When I look at the breakpoint settings 320 is included, but it only actually works from 340.
Hang on, so Editor X is not supported on any iPhones below iPhone 7? That’s super concerning! Editor X markets itself as a fully responsive website builder only for the designer to discover once it goes live that it doesn’t work on billions of devices? This really is extremely misleading. If I had known this, I would never have started building my website on Editor X, but now it’s too late… Is this something that will be resolved in the near future?

in terms of the official support assistance, Wix in general can assist our user’s with iPhone 7 and above, but we can not guarantee how older devices will behave
as for the Editor X built sites, the rule will be the same, but such behavior in terms of the lower breakpoint is not expected inside of the builder, since the Editor X supports devices from 320PX width resolution
can you share the sitelink you are working with, so we will be able to check how it is looking inside, possibly such layout is system issue
we were able to reach the site, thank you, now we will proceed with the investigation
Hi there, any news on this? Thanks, Sophie
no issues were located on Editor X, and the site was not Published, so we are not able to check the live version.
Is the issue still persists at this moment?
Hi did you look at the site? If you preview it at 340 px it applies the mobile design. If you preview it at 330 or smaller it instantly applies the desktop design. It does this for every single page. Responsive design is not working at all. Is it possible to communicate more directly as I do not receive a notification or email when you post a message, despite having clicked on “Follow post”
