The Wix FAQ app supports multilingual editing for categories, questions, and answers. However, I also need the “Title text” and “Search bar text” to be translated. These do not appear in the bulk multilingual editor section and when I try to edit them via the Wix FAQ widget Settings (see below), the changes are applied to all languages.
From Wix support:
“I’m reaching out to you in regards to the issue with the FAQ Title and Search text labels that you cannot translate. I can confirm that translating those is not supported at the moment and we have informed our developers of this issue.
We will follow up with you in this thread once we have an update on this from our product team.”
My work-around has been to use a text field for the title. For the search, my first work-around was to leave the placeholder text blank but it turns out multilingual search doesn’t work anyway so I’m just disabling search entirely rather than have it only work in one language and confuse people in the other language.
