Feature Requests for Wix Events [Add to Calendar, custom emails, etc]

Hello,

I currently use the Wix Events app, and I think there are a couple of features that would improve the experience, many of which already exist in Wix, but aren’t applicable to the Wix Events page.

1. Add to Calendar button.
   In the Wix Events Confirmation and Reminder emails, as well as the Thank You Message page, there’s a link to “Add Event to Calendar”. It’d be great if this could also be an option to include on the Individual Events pages. The calendar invite and link is already generated and I think it’d help the user experience if we could select an option to show “Add to Calendar” under the Date/Time area!

2. Enable an “Add Event to Calendar” link/button in the Wix Marketing Automations email that can be set to go out when someone RSVPs for any event on the site. I love the versatility and cutomizability of the Wix Marketing Automations emails vs. the native Wix Events emails, but the one feature that’s missing is the “Add to Calendar” link/button.

3. Set the “Location” of the calendar invite to be the same as the Location of the Wix Event. Right now all of the information is in the description, with a blank location.

4. Be able to edit the Thank You Message page link.
   Currently it’s set to link back to the homepage of the website. Would it be possible to provide an option to link to a different page (ex. the designated Events list page)?

5. More reminder email options.
   Currently there is 5 options for scheduling the reminder email. It’d be great if there was an additional option to set a custom time (ie. 2 days or 2 hours, etc.). It’d also be incredibly helpful if there was the option to schedule more than one reminder emails (ex. one to go out 3 days before the event and another on the day of the event!)

6. Greater flexibility in native Wix Events emails
   While the text itself is editable in the Wix Confirmation and Reminder emails, additional options such as using dynamic values that are submitted in the registration form (ex. the guest’s first name) would be very helpful! I know these features are available in the Wix Marketing Automations emails, but it’d be great if it was possible to use these in the native Wix Events emails as well.

7. Being able to customize fonts and design would also be great, but a lesser priority than the dynamic values.

Thank you so much for expanding on your experience with Wix Events!

1. These are great suggestions and I believe many people can benefit from these features. Currently, you have the ability to share events, but keep in mind that this only allows you to share the event URLs, and not add them to your calendar.

2. Similar to the Event Details Page, it’s allowed for the URL to be shared via email but not added to your Calendar.

3. All the information should carry over when added to the calendar. If this does not occur, please reach out to our Customer Care Team so we can further investigate.

4. Currently, it is not possible to access or edit the ‘Thank You Page.’ There is an existing Feature Request article you may vote on. You will find this request here: Wix Events Request: Customizing the Thank You Message

5. I have reviewed the available reminder time slots and as you mentioned it is limited to only what is available. I’ll forward this feedback to our team.

6. This is a valid point, when Wix Events integrated with Automations we felt this was a great way to customize the email outside the restrictions from plain text only, but I see how it would still benefit to continue to develop the native email automations.

For the “Add to Calendar” button/links, you can use CalGet’s solution. CalGet allows you to generate calendar links that can be easily embedded into Wix.
