Is there a way I can offer a free digital downloadable product to my customers? So I create and sell knitting patterns, and I would like to offer one pattern as a free download to my customers.
I have entered the price as “$0.00” but it cannot be downloaded on the front end. The “add to cart” button now says “Contact us to purchase”.

Hi there, this is currently a request that you can vote for here . 
You may add a coupon code to 100% OFF,
saying that “LIMITED TIME OFFER! Checkout with coupon code XXX to get this FREE!”
On the product itself, make it a set price, but then set it as “on sale” with a discount of 99.99%. It will show zero in the cart and let them get it as a freebie when they checkout.
