I’m having issues with the Wix footer. Most of my pages are behaving properly except 2 to 3 of my gallery pages. One page, the footer is overlapping the bottom images on my gallery and the other page the footer randomly changes position on the page as I scroll up and down. Its also overlapping content and I can’t seem to move it to where it belongs. So far, most of the other pages seem to be behaving, the footer stays at the bottom of the page and you only see it when you scroll to the bottom of the page. This only happens on desktop search engines and not on mobile devices. I’ve tried adjusted the footer but it doesn’t seem to have any affect. I’ve also changed the layout of the gallery, but still doesn’t fix it. This website’s been around for a while but this is the first time I’ve seen this problem. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a bug or is there some way I can fix this on my end?
@VizPix Hi! Hmm, I am not sure why the footer is overlapping only on some of the gallery pages. One thing you could try, is to select the gallery from the layers panel, open the toolbar and change the gallery’s height to a smaller number, then click to select the section that the gallery is in and double click on the arrows at the bottom of the section above the footer. If this doesn’t work, I would suggest reaching out to Customer Care if you haven’t already. They’ll be able to take a look and dig deeper into it. (You’ll be able to track the progress of your ticket through your Wix Studio Workspace.
Thanks Pamela, you’re right, it had to do with the size of the gallery being much bigger than the page section it was in. Some how, I must have accidentally made the section way too small to fit the gallery . Someone from Wix contacted me a few days ago after I filed it as a bug and helped fix it. All is good now. I, too, have an issue with the footer, but it is in the Forum. The problem is the footer overlaps the box in which a new post is supposed to be created, making it impossible to create a new post. I’ve simply had to make the header and the footer not appear on the Forum page but I need the header for navigation. I have tried Customer Care, but it’s quite useless and it seems impossible to connect with a real person in Wix. Any thoughts?

I also had an issue with footer positioning. I basically switched from desktop version to mobile version and suddenly my footer merged with the header, overlapping everything. It looked so so messy. Then I noticed that you can right click on each element and say “move to” then you can move it to the footer, header or menu. It is a bit annoying that this does not happen automatically but with moving/assigning every single item to the right area, it is no longer messy.
But wix should work on that issue to automatically adjust this in the first place so all the manual work can be skipped. Though I am happy that wix at least has the function that we can ourselves adjust these issues when they happen.
