Help with service area search bar

Hi there,

I have access to the wix code and I need a little bit of help. I need to add a service area search bar to my website so that clients can type in their address or postal code and it will come up with a yes we service your area, or a no we dont. But im a bit confused about how to do this on wix code. i understand the logic but im a bit rubbish on how to code. i have asked professionals and a lot of them and with what seems to be pretty simple they are saying is complicated. i know that there is multiple ways to do this, either with google maps and a kml file or with a simple if statement and a list of postal codes. however how all that links into a search bar itself is beyond me. help would be appreciated.

You can use the Google place API in a $w.HtmlComponent . Use messages between the HtmlComponent and the page. Now if all of that sounds like gibberish…

You may want to check out WixArena - it’s a hub where you can look for Wix Code (and other) experts for hire. You can try to learn and do it yourself, or you can turn to an expert who can do it for you. If you don’t want to be left out of the loop while the expert does his or her thing, start with Wix Code Basics and work your way up to the advanced stuff.
