Question:
I do not know what happened but I have a translucent white layer over my images
Are you able to share a screenshot of what it looks like? (Along with the editor used)
It’ll help figure out the cause 
It looks like it could be the footer - if you scroll to the bottom of the page, select the footer> Settings> Freeze footer.
Disable it and publish and you should be good
