Question: I am trying to edit the design of a main/primary Horizontal Menu, specifically the sub-menu item dropdown container, to have the flyout dropdown with submenu items appear seamless to the parent menu item with the same background color and no hover-activated border displayed when the dropdown menu is visible.
Product: Wix Editor (have programming skills and seen similar threads for Wix Studio)
What are you trying to achieve: I want to style (“design”) a flyout dropdown menu container so that the parent single menu item’s 1px white bottom border disappears in its ‘Hover’ state OR apply/revise the entire menu’s animation effects so that the parent item’s hover state is delayed 1-2 seconds, until after the dropdown container has appeared, and/or layer the dropdown container over/above its parent menu item when hovered. I do not want to remove the hover borders (top or bottom) from this or other menu items overall so that they animate normally in every other instance, and I do want to keep the identical top border appearing on hover in this particular instance.
What have you already tried: I have explored online Wix documentation to no avail for this apparently very niche problem. I also read this article here in this forum, which is the closest similarity I could find.
For now, I have temporarily applied a bottom-layer solid, opaque “shadow” to the dropdown container via the Menu Design options, with 1px blur, Size 0px and a Distance of 3 (which Wix Editor keeps auto-applying ‘px’ to and then removing that unit and telling me the number entry “isn’t a valid CSS value”) to extend above the container and cover the parent menu item’s bottom border, but this isn’t working because the dropdown flyout motion is slightly delayed past the hover effects, so the bottom border line “flashes” for a split second upon hovering to activate the dropdown before the flyout fully appears (see attached GIF screen recording).
