How do I change the background color of the blog page?

I’m specifically talking about the blog page and not the post page. I see color options for just about everything else, but no background color.

do you mean the main background of the page ? This is done like all other pages in the inspector panel on the right.

No, I meant for the blog widget itself. I figured it out, they don’t call it background color in the widget, they call it “area background” so I skipped right over it in the settings. Why we need to use a widget for this is beyond me. This should all just be in the style panel.
