"How do I get the hamburger menu icon to show on mobile if it's missing?"

’m having trouble with the mobile version. Although the Mobile Menu panel exists and works somewhat inside the Editor, the hamburger icon trigger doesn’t appear in Preview or Live views. In editor it is just highlighted with all the menu options.

Additionally, in the “Add” panel, there is no “Menu & Anchor” section available for me to re-add the menu component properly in mobile. It is showing in layers so I’m thinking it was accidentally moved off screen but not sure.

I’ve followed all troubleshooting steps, including:

  • Re-adding the Mobile Menu

  • Pinning it to screen and showing on all pages

  • Expanding the header and checking Z-index/layers

  • Previewing across pages and browsers

Thanks,

Kiki

Hmm. If the icon is showing up in layers, then it is definitely there but hidden. Have you tried removing all elements that might be covering it, then re-adding everything? If you are nervous to do this on the live site, perhaps make a copy of the website, experiment with removing the elements. If that works recreate things on your live website.

Good luck!

Hi Kiki,

If the menu is visible as an element in the layers, then it must be somewhere on the canvas too.

As Dena suggested, it’s a good idea to create a website named backup with the current version of your website and try to further troubleshoot.

I would also:

  • First, check what the situation is on the Desktop, since mobile inherits the behaviour
  • Double-check any layers or elements that might be in the way
  • Check the x, y positions of the menu element and see if it is possible to manually input different coordinates just to see if there will be a change.
  • In the live version of the website, check the behaviour in the browser Inspector

Hopefully, some of these pieces of advice bring you closer to the resolution.

In case you still need help, feel free to send me a message!

Hi, @Kiki1 !!

Haven’t you added any code to the custom code? :innocent:
