How to add product variants to digital products?
What are you trying to achieve:
I sell a digital service that i fulfill through a 3rd party program with multiple variants, right now the only way I can do it is through physical products, but it looks off when they have to choose a delivery option and address.
What have you already tried:
I know they are working on it but I want to know if there is another way around it.
While Wix Studio doesn’t currently support product variants for digital products, you’re right! There is a feature request for this functionality. In the meantime, here’s a recommended workaround:
Separate Product Listings (Meantime Solution):
- Create Listings for Each Variant: Create separate product listings in Wix Studio for each variant of your digital service.
- Clear Names and Descriptions: Clearly name each product listing to reflect the specific service option it represents. Within the product descriptions, explain the service details and how fulfillment occurs (through a third-party program).
- Remove Delivery Options: During checkout for digital products, remove unnecessary delivery and address options to avoid confusion.
