How to assign the Wix Editor Premium plan to another Wix Studio site without extra charges?

I’m currently have a site built on Wix Editor and premium subscription for 2 years from 2024 to 2026. I hired a agency to build new site on Wix Studio and I would like to change Wix Premium Plan Core (20USD/month) to Wix Studio Standard (20USD/month) according this article Wix Studio: Assigning a Wix Premium Plan to a Wix Studio Site | Help Center | Wix.com. But it requires me to pay the full price of new subscription which I don’t understand the part:

Any remaining credit from your old Premium plan is deducted from the price of your new upgrade during the purchase process. The credit is deducted after any discounts from a coupon or seasonal sale are applied.

I need someone to take a look more details and clarify as my boss doesn’t want to pay additional budget.

Before knowing the article, I’ve had transfer the site to the agency to perform the assignment, but they said the deduction only made when the original owner of the site perform this assignment. So they transferred the site and new site back to us. But when I started to assign and check upgrade plan, I saw the same full price as screenshot above.

Thanks for the screenshot and I understand the frustration of not seeing the discount since you should be prorated the difference of time when upgrading to a different plan.

There are some instances where the refund might not show which I think may be the case if you transferred the premium plan to another account and then had it transferred back.

You can reach out to customer care where a billing specialist can take a look; alternatively, if it’s been less than 14-days you can request a refund for your current plan and then purchase the correct plan you need. Note that there if it’s been a less than 24 hours the transaction will be voided but anything past that might show as cancelled before the funds settle.
