Thanks for the answer, Pratham. May i ask for further details. I have a menu set up for the header. And another for the footer, which right now is reflecting (and mirroring) the set up i see imn the header.
Which of these two i need to set up as an advanced one? only the footoer version? or the header version? or both?
Just set the footer one as Advanced. No need to do anything to the header one.
All menus in the Wix Editor are connected to your Site Page list by default. So any menu that you want to edit your way, simply set it to Advanced and then you can customise it your way by adding links, submenus, etc without affecting other menus on the site.
Wix may not provide a built-in feature for creating multiple menus, but it should still be possible to create your own elements or components that function like menus.
In Wix, the header and footer menus are linked by default, which is why changes in one appear in the other. To create a separate footer menu with different entries, follow these steps:
Add a new menu element to your footer:
Go to the Editor → Add (+) Button → Menu → choose a menu style.
Disconnect it from the site menu:
Select the new menu → click Settings → under Menu Items, choose “Custom Menu” instead of “Main Menu.”
Add your custom links:
You can now add pages, anchors, or external links that are different from your header menu.
Style and position:
Adjust the look and placement to match your footer design.
This way, the footer menu is completely independent of the header menu.
