How to enable font-display swap to speed up webpage

I was watching the recenlty released webinar Designing with performance in mind and Rotem Yanovitch (Performance Operations Manager) mentioned that Wix now supports font-display swap. This features laods text using a system font first to help speed up the loading time. and then swaps the system font with your custom font once the page has loaded.

My issue is that I cannot find any documentation on how to turn on this feature and it was not explained in the webinar.

Could someone from Wix provide some insight as to how to turn on font-display swap?

Thank you

@noahlovell would you be able to chase this up for me? Thank you

Hey @TobyMcDowell!

Great question. If I’m following correctly, this is what you’ll need:

Jump into a Studio site> Choose “Site Styles” in the left sidebar> Typography> At the bottom “Optimise site loading with default fonts”.

Perfect, thanks Noah!
