How to put apple-app-site-association file to the root of the site

How is this done please help??? Someone said it could be done with Velo. But I have no clue

Not possible. You cannot access to your site file ROOT.

Alternatively, some third party can accept Apple Pay on their own site.

E.g. Stripe Hosted link (google it) and it can do Apple Pay (because it is using stripe’s domain, not yours)

Does this mean that Apple’s new event system https://developer.apple.com/app-store/in-app-events/ or Deep Links into an iOS app are not possible? Allowing apps and websites to link to your content | Apple Developer Documentation

It is NOT possible. Please use Wix Payments to accept Apple Pay on your site. Only for eligible countries.

You cannot access to site root.

You are unable to pass the domain verification because you cannot put files in the root, please try to see if Apple offers alternative verification way or use another hosting platform to act as a bridge of your wix site and Apple features

@certified-code thank you. It does not appear that Apple offers an alternative https://developer.apple.com/documentation/xcode/supporting-associated-domains However, I’m thinking about your suggestion of using another hosting platform to act as a bridge. Not sure of the particulars on this and I too was thinking this may be necessary. Does it work?

It is required because you cannot do this on wix. You might not be able to use a “web building platform” to get this done, so you need to take time to build the code and design and host externally

@certified-code Ok, thank you. My team likely has these skills. I just have to ask them the right questions:) and direct them correctly. This conversation helps. Any other thoughts? This will help us now and others that read this thread later.

Also, I guess I should ask if this means we should not use wix for the entire website or can use wix PLUS “another hosting platform to act as a bridge of your wix site and Apple features” OR migrate entire site and “build the code and design and host externally”

I’ve tried the redirection trick but It does not seem to work.

@eplaydigital that’s quite a mysterious answer, what do you mean ?

Sure man, but it’s quite time consuming (especially when there’s so many things i would rather do…) for sth that should be obvious.
Did you try the redirection + http request ?

Not yet. You said it didn’t work.

@eplaydigital I don’t want to proxy my visitors from another service towards wix,
it would be too much of a hassle.

@tiptooapp So, “redirection trick… does not seem to work” OR you “don’t want to proxy my visitors from another service towards wix”?

The alternative to having a file (or a redirection trick) is to use a proxy.

Ok I take back some of what I said,

the redirections seems to get this validator a PASS

but a not pass on the Apple one:
