How to share media on the site and make it clickable so that open up the other images of the specific project

Question:
[When I visited the site I searched for the Portfolio templates, I found one and there were projects with their images, when I clicked one project it opened its other pages, I created my own portfolio site, too but I cannot make it just like that, I only added images, but it is not opening the other files, how can I add my ready collection to the home (main) page with its other pictures]

Product:

What are you trying to achieve:
[I should create my portfolio with clicking and opening new tab with its related pictures in the home page, all in all I want to make my media visible and workable as I saw in the template files on this site,]

Hello, @Maftuna_Yuldashova

you want to create a portfolio similar to what you saw in a template, where clicking on a project opens additional pages with related images. Fear not—I’ll guide you through the steps to achieve this using Wix Pro Gallery and collections.

Creating Sub-Galleries:
Imagine your portfolio as a grand gallery with different rooms (sub-galleries). Each room showcases a specific project.
Here’s how to set up sub-galleries:
On a New Page:
In Wix Editor, click “Pages” on the left side.
Add a new page for each project (sub-gallery).
On each page, add a Wix Pro Gallery.
Upload the specific media (images) related to that project.
Repeat these steps for all your projects.
On a Lightbox:
Lightboxes are like mini pop-up galleries. They keep visitors on the same page.
Add a lightbox (click “Add Elements” > “Interactive” > choose a lightbox).
Name the lightbox (like naming a sub-gallery).
Disable triggers for the lightbox (so it doesn’t automatically open).
Add a Wix Pro Gallery inside the lightbox.
Upload the media for each project.
Repeat for all your projects.
Linking Sub-Galleries to the Main Gallery:
Now, let’s create the main gallery (your home page) that acts as a gateway to these sub-galleries:
Add a Wix Pro Gallery where you want the main gallery to appear (usually on your home page).
Add media to this main gallery—these will be your “cover images” for each project.
Link each cover image to its related sub-gallery:
Select the Pro Gallery in your editor and click “Settings.”
Go to the “Settings” tab.
Under “When clicking on an item,” select “A link opens.”
Click “Manage Media.”
Choose an image as the sub-gallery’s “cover image.”
Click the link icon and select either a page or a lightbox.
Choose the relevant sub-gallery page or lightbox.
Repeat these steps for all your sub-galleries.
Test Your Portfolio:
Preview your site to see if clicking on the cover images opens the corresponding sub-galleries.
Adjust as needed—maybe add some elegant transitions or sprinkle fairy dust on your images (okay, maybe not the fairy dust).
And there you have it! Your portfolio will now waltz gracefully, inviting visitors to explore each project.

I hope this info is helpful to you.

Best Regard,
Gregory Chavez
