I’ve got a website with member-generated knowledge. I want people to be able to read it in their own language. How could I grab the text, send it to a translation engine and translate it?

Just search online for ‘free external API which can translate text’ and you will get plenty of answers.
Already out there are Google, Microsoft, Yandex, IBM Watson, MyMemory and many smaller companies that offer translation services with an API access too.
