Hi everyone, I’m experiencing a stubborn layout issue on my Wix Stores main product page. There is a huge greyish-white gap (which seems to be the section or page background) between the product gallery and the footer. It feels like the dynamic page height is completely stuck and failing to adapt to the content.
I have already tried all the standard troubleshooting steps, including:
-
Manually dragging and snapping the footer to the bottom of the element.
-
Using the “Adjust Page Height” handle to remove the blank space.
-
Checking for hidden or transparent elements using Ctrl+M (Cmd+M) – the space is completely empty.
-
Forcing a layout reset by temporarily changing the gallery layout and switching it back.
-
Checking and removing any bottom padding/margins in the gallery settings.
-
Adjusting the Section and Container Box heights, both in normal view and Zoom Out mode.
Despite doing all of this, the gap remains. Has anyone experienced this specific bug in Wix Studio or found a backend workaround? Any help or escalation to the technical team would be greatly appreciated!
This is usually a hidden section below the gallery, not the gallery itself. A few things worth checking that aren’t in your list: 1) Open the Layers panel (not just Ctrl+M) and look past the footer in the list, sometimes an app widget (Related Products, Reviews, an upsell app) is installed on that dynamic product page template with a reserved min-height container that renders empty for this specific product (no related items, no reviews yet). 2) Click directly in that grey gap on the live/preview page (not the editor) using right-click > Inspect if you have dev tools, it’ll show you the actual element and its class/id so you know what to target. 3) Since this is the dynamic item page, check if a different breakpoint (tablet) has a taller fixed height set on that section that’s bleeding into desktop, Wix Studio breakpoints don’t always inherit cleanly. 4) If you recently swapped gallery layouts, delete the container the gallery sits in and drag a fresh one in rather than reusing it, leftover empty containers from a layout swap are a common cause. If none of that shows it, share the page URL and I’ll take a look directly.
If this helped, please mark it as Solved.
