I just want to add that it work fine in preview mode.
Do you have the correct permissions to view the page when viewing it on your live site.
Remember that on editor and preview you are viewing it as Admin whereas on the live site you are viewing it as site member.
So if it’s a link to another member’s own dynamic page, then as it is unuque to them you won’t be able to access it.
Thx 4 responding. That’s not it. I figured out what it is. When I click on the link live, it points to an old dynamic page I deleted. So that’s the problem. Why is it still pointing to that page which I deleted? I already re-linked it to the new page address. But yet when I go live, it still goes to that address which is not even in my editor.
I just deleted the whole text and created a new text/link and it worked. WIX has a problem of clearing cache. At least it now works
Yes because 404 error normally means page can’t be found, so as in your case it was still thinking it was linked to an old page.
After changing the link to the new page, did you remember to save and republish your site again before checking the live site again.
Bumping this thread up - If someone can help me understand why live site don’t pick up changes instantly. Even after you replace old links with new links and delete the old links, it still points to the old address and shows a 404. I notice with other things. If I change an element, the live site is not updating with the new changes even after saving and publishing. Frustrating.
