I have followed this tutorial here: https://support.wix.com/en/article/corvid-tutorial-adding-ratings-and-reviews-to-a-wix-stores-site#step-9-create-the-addreview_click-function-on-the-product-page
I am trying to duplicate this ratings & reviews feature on my site.
This tutorial is not as thorough as Wix’s other tutorials. There are several steps missing from my reading and re-reading it.
This forum is not the right place to try and find the needle in a haystack problem that is preventing me from accomplishing this seeming simple feature.
Is there any other method or would any advanced developer be willing to take a look at my code and help me fix my mistake?
I am totally exhausted. I have been at it for 3 days. I am grateful to anyone who can take the time to help me.
I’m so exhausted, I forgot my manners. I certainly meant to say PLEASE several times, so please forgive my crass way of asking.
You don’t actually say what your issue is that you are having trouble with, you only link to step 9 of the tutorial.
Also, at the top of it you can actually use the link provided to open the page up in your own Wix Editor and see the page fully made up with all code etc.
This article describes how you can use Corvid to add ratings and reviews to a Wix Stores site. Throughout this article we’re going to use this site to illustrate the process. You can open the site in the Editor to work with the template . We’re going to explain how we set up the sample site and the code we added to make it work.
If you look at the Corvid examples pages here.
https://www.wix.com/corvid/examples
Then you will see that there are a differing range of tutorials for three different levels given by Wix and some are designed for basic users whilst some are for more advanced users.
Having an idea of what you are doing here and understanding the code helps, which is why some tutorials go into more detail as they are not aimed at users who simply just copy and paste from a tutorial without having an understanding of what they are doing and how it all works.
You are right…I did not mention the exact issue I was having, because I could not figure out what the problem was. I was actually hoping that someone of knowledge could actually look at the backend code and help me figure out where I’m going wrong. I will check out the link you sent and try to open the example in an editor and see if I can figure out where I’m going wrong.
This community is awesome and I really appreciate your helpful reply. If I still have trouble after, I will try to explain it it greater detail here.
thank you!
