I have PDF documents in a Content Manager database to which there is a button on a dynamic page. How do I get those PDFs indexed?

I have found how to turn on indexing when the document is a normal link or when the document resides on the page, but I have not found how to index documents that are links to a Content Manager item. Is it possible?

Hi Stephanie, not sure if the information on this article can help. If not, I hope someone can provide a solution on here!

Thank you, Steven. I have the index page that links to the dynamic page. From the dynamic page that contains the abstract of the article, I have a button linking to the PDF of the article. The dynamic abstract page is indexed, but the PDF article itself is not. Since the button is not linked via the usual Link in Editor, there is no way to access the Settings. And the URL it opens on is not on my domain, so I can’t request a crawl through Search Console.

The link you provided did prompt me to try something other than a button to link to the document, but I can’t connect anything else to the database element. It would have to be static, which doesn’t work. I do appreciate your effort.

@stephbernerth understood! I’m going to ask around and see if I can find a solution for you. I’ll keep you updated on here.
