Landing page or Lightbox to Get the Look I Want

Ok, so I am creating a website for a client. I want to have a video take up almost all the verticle space when they land on the website. And then they can go to a “home” page, or introductory page. So I created a lightbox, the one titled “Welcome.” And I put the video there with a button to take them to the Home page. However, there is a slight delay before the lightbox pops up. Here it is: https://cghughes53.wixsite.com/my-site (Still in free mode until I get it finished.)

So, I thought maybe I should do a landing page. But I want this video and function to be the first introduction to the website. So should I have it in a landing page that is the Home page but with no header and just the video and the button? Wouldn’t that mean Google just sees “Find Out Why” (button text) as being the Home page content? Is that good?

Or is there a way to have the lightbox pop up immediately?

I know this is done all the time.
