Hey, I am not sure if it’s a bug or just you removing basic capabilities,
but doing basic layout stuff seems impossible now.
First of all, the Advanced/Basic sizing switch is now a site wide option,
which means if I work on a site for a client that someone else started and I just need to add pages I can’t change that setting because it will break the rest of the website.
I honestly don’t understand this decision, yes I get you want to simplify the workflow but it’s not simplifying anything, just causing issues, I am now stuck on advanced which means I can’t use “scale” sizing. While yes, technically you can use scale because there is the “Scale Toggle” even in advanced mode, it does not work!
Trying to make a slideshow repeater to scale seems to be impossible now, as even when the repeater and the item are set to scale in the toggle, it does not scale it and the height is still fixed. And since the size setting is set to advanced on the whole site and I don’t want to change that (as it will break the rest of the site) I don’t have any option in the size menus to change the height and it’s stuck on auto but not respecting the “scale”.
The repeater itself have no row/column size options, only the item itself, but even when the item has its height set to min-content or scale in the row option, it’s still not scaling as it should and the height is fixed no mater what (and no, there is nothing inside the item that blocks the height from shrinking)
