Link changes default drop down menu selected item

I have a drop down box of options with a product in my store. Is there a way to simply link to the page and have it auto default a specific selection form the drop down menu? I would like to create different links to the same page, but based on the link used a different item from the drop down menu is default selected. Thanks.
