Lottie integration would surely provide a whole new dimension to Editor X. Combine it with scroll interactions and you get tons of new options like making videos play according to the users scroll, etc., etc.
After Effects is a tool designed explicitly for creating sophisticated, complex animations, so it can be a lot more efficient for creating animations on websites. Additionally, After Effects animations, when served on websites as Lottie JSON files, are exponentially lighter and more performant than animations created with standard HTML and CSS elements.
Hello @frosticecream , I’m Rich Palmer. I work a ton in After Effects, and agree it’s great for making entertaining assets. I’ve never used Lottie Integration before, so I’ll defiantly checking it out.
I have seen there is now a way to integrate Lottie animations into Editor X through the HTML iFrame. Amazing!
Is it also possible to link it to the scrolling? Or is there maybe another way to animate basic shapes when scrolling?
Thanks
That’s what I’ve wanted for a long time on Wix and Editor X. Advanced scrolling animations. It would be a gamechanger… bigger than any other feature released!
Yes, thanks, however at the moment it seems Editor X lacks the interaction capabilities that’s possible on other platforms, where there is now proper Lottie player integration. (I mean easily applying the effects through a visual editor rather than having to code it) Like playing on scroll etc. I think playing a Lottie animation or any video on scroll would be a really powerful thing to be able to do looking at the type of sites being creating on this platform.
